In other words: This kind of fragrance is really hard to screw up so the challenge is to bring something unique to the table, but asking a designer to take risks with a staple line in a staple genre is like asking McDonald's to take risks with their Big Mac. Rotten eggs = Calone or the newer variation Cascalone, perhaps in combination with Scentenal - all Firmenich's popular marine-seawater ingredients, clearly a favorite accord of Alberto Morillas. Throughout the whole life of the fragrance, that almost rotten/foul note lingered in the background which was super off-putting.

I personally don't get the egg scent they speak of, nor rotten fish but i can understand where they are getting that idea from and it took a while for me to get over that. I’m not a fragrance veteran by any means but I can’t say that scents like cool water or Dylan blue make me picture being on a beach quite like this scent. And although it is a summer scent, it has a density to it I would personally not recommend for very high heat summer days. Top notes are Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Sea water and Juniper; base notes are Musk and Amberwood.I dunno, overall it just smells like to me a massive dose of Galaxolide/Habanolide (clean-soft white musk), with some transparent watery notes, and a hint of brightness in the opening. One problem is, the chemical that created the sea notes also has a scent like egg/sulphur ( maybe my skin, a lot of guys don't get this scent ).

I really hope they toned it down in the recent batches, otherwise I don't see myself wearing this much often other than hot weather on the beach vacation time. Although it's not a bad fragrance, at all actually, the pepper note in that one is just too much for my cup of tea.It is a pleasant refreshment during a hot day but you need to respray every 3 hours because it fades away. To my nose thos smells like a higher quality original LB, with added JUICY lemon, not necessarily tart. It's garnered two compliments in 3 wearings and it's going to be a "social scent" to wear in the summer heat at lunches, picnics, park, outdoor events, etc. People really need to get their noses checked, and this is coming from someone who still recognizes scents since when he was a toddler. Thereafter the stultifying Amberwood bomb kicks in (quite literally, I could feel it in my solar plexus) and will.

Pretty impressive fragrance for its performance, love the freshness cuz that totally suits summer wear. I get about 6 hours with about an arms length of projection for the first couple hours and then it turn into a skin scent for the remaining time.Longevity is good enough, around 10 hours to be exact and projecting within 1-2 meters for the first few hours. So if you get this and think you don't like it, make sure to try layering it with others before you shelve or sell it. If I had to offer a recommendation on how to improve Eau Intense in any way, I'd say to make it more woody and green. The bottle on this one is great, but it's just not worth having for the fact that you just can't smell it much.
